Story
Ultraman Zero is an energetic, boastful, and stubborn warrior, Zero was sent into banishment by Ultraseven after his failed attempt to steal the Plasma Spark. Zero was placed into the care of Ultraman Leo, who trained Zero during his exile while having him wear heavy training wear, called Techtor Gear. When Ultraman Belial returned to the Land of Light and stole the Plasma Spark, Zero redeemed himself of his past mistake by defeating Belial and retrieving the Plasma Spark, and learned of his origin as the son of Seven. After helping to defeat Belial's invasion attempt in another dimension, he founded Ultimate Force Zero and became the group's leader, dedicating it to protect the universe from evil threats and wiping out remnants of Belial's former army.

- Run is one of the main protagonists of Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial. Alongside his brother Nao, both were orphaned and lives with their grandmother, working as police in a mining site of their home planet, Planet Anu. One day, when Belial's Darklops attacked the mining site, Zero bonded with Run to save the young man's life, but learns that he is in control of Run's body, as the original one is rendered comatose.

- Nozomu Taiga is the main protagonist of Ultraman Saga and is the second host of Ultraman Zero. Originated from the same universe where Ultraman Tiga and Ultraman Dyna took place, Taiga is the rookie member of Super GUTS after Asuka's disappearances. Taiga bears a lot of similarities to young Asuka (even called by senior Super GUTS members as "the second coming of Shin Asuka") but however lacks respect in his predecessors.

Mega Monster Battle : Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie
Zero is first seen wearing the Techtor Gear armor and training with Ultraman Leo on K76, the planet he was sent to after being banished. When Pigmon was in danger, Zero decided to save it rather than continue his battle with Leo. Leo and Ultraman King then revealed to him that protecting lives is the purpose of an Ultra.
Ultraman Zero Gaiden : Ultraman Zero vs Darkclops Zero
Ultraman Zero was the only Ultraman to face against the Imitation Ultramen along with ZAP SPACY. Zero managed to defeat Jack and Zoffy but he went back to the planet to help ZAP SPACY against Mecha Gomora and then Darclops Zero was unleashed against Zero. Zero was desperate at that moment so he dished out everything he had.
Ultraman Zero The Movie : The Revenge of Belial
During the events of The Revenge of Belial, an attack from a trio of Darklops prompted Zero to volunteer himself in an inter-dimensional exploration to track the source. He was given the Ultra Zero Bracelet by Ultraseven, which allowed him to transform three times in an alternate dimension and received help from residents of the Land of Light during the travel. Upon arrival, he fought against Legionoid armies on the Planet Anu and bonded with a local miner named Run in order to save his life.owards the Shield of Baradhi and helped out holding off Belial Galactic Empire's army.
Ultraman Zero Side Story : Killer the Beatstar
A year after Ultimate Force Zero's last battle with Kaiser Belial, the team encountered a giant planet-sized sphere which kidnapped Jean-bot and Emerana. The remaining three Ultimate Force Zero, Ultraman Zero, Mirror Knight and Glenfire broke into the sphere and fought it. Six days later, two ZAP SPACY officers, Rei and Hyuga were on a holiday to Planet Bram until they encountered the same sphere and entered it via a hole that had been made by the Ultimate Force Zero, they found Emerana as she told them what actually happened.

Eventually returning to the universe where his friends waited, Zero found himself in the Monster Graveyard where he was training with the new powers he had gained from Dyna and Cosmos. It was there that the young Ultra was attacked by several monsters sent by Alien Bat. Zero appeared in this short film where he was patrolling around the space and was sucked into a field of Minus energy by Yapool that connected to several other realities, hence why he met other Ultras from different continuities. In the end he defeated Yapool with, who was suspected to be an alternate version, Ultraman Mebius in Phoenix Brave mode.

Ultraman Saga
Zero reappeared in the movie Ultraman Saga, along Ultraman Dyna and Ultraman Cosmos and the Ultra Brothers. After defeating the remains of Belial's army, Ultraman Zero heard a voice calling for help, following the voice, he traveled to another universe, finding an alternate Earth. Landing a top of skyscraper, he is shocked to find the city was completely deserted. He then ran into Alien Bat's ship getting into a fight with his fighter drones. Taking them down one by one, one of the drones.
Ultraman Ginga S Movie Showdown! The 10 Ultra Warriors!
After Cosmos' defeat at the hands of Etelgar at Planet Juran, Ultraman Zero pursued him. But Etelgar escaped, leaving Zero with excuse that Zero would be his main dish (last target). He soon able to chase Etelgar to Earth, but after meeting Ginga and Victory, Zero called them to pass a trial so they would be able to use Ultra Fusion Brace which given from Ultra King.

Zero was hunting Alien Nackle Bandero in space after the alien was reported for being a thief and an arms dealer. He tracked Bandero to Earth and faced him when Ultraman X battled both alien and Black King. After he managed to severe Black King's horn, Zero tried to chase Bandero by attacking him but X stopped him, since Bandero also brought a human escort.

X continued his service in Xio and was involved in the conflict against the ancient monster Zaigorg that was released by a selfish web artist Carlos Kurosaki. When first fighting against the monsters, he was badly injured from the battle and the X Devizer took a damage. When the team returned to the base, Daichi was able to reawaken X with electric shocks and Guruman offers himself to fix the device while Daichi and the rest of the team delay Zaigorg. When Yuuto Tamaki's care for his mother resonated with the Spark Lens, the Devizer and the blue stone in Carlos' possession shine as well, prompting the scientist to have Rui brought them to Carlos' location while the repairs were delayed.

Ultraman Zero: The Chronicle is a biography series produced by Tsuburaya Productions created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ultra Seven. This show follows a similar format to Ultraman Retsuden, and continues to feature Ultraman Zero as the show's main navigator, bringing the viewers to movies and miniseries that featured his major involvement.

A few months after the end of the series, Gai retuned to the SSP after he was informed by Ultraman Zero, who had aided him in defeating the revived Galactron in Hawaii, that there was a new threat approaching.
